Patch 6.2.0
This
update makes a change to all of the
calculations involving the change out
period. The new calculations provide
for a more accurate prediction of costs
and revenue or savings during the change
out period by calculating month-to-month
mixes of old and new meters based upon the
number of months indicated for change out.
Prior versions of the software would make
an even split of the number of meters
installed over the number of years in the
change out, then assume that all those
meters were in place Day 1 of each
year. The new model assumes an even
split each month of the change out
instead, and accounts for old and new
meters in the system accordingly.
For
example, if 1500 meters were to be
installed in a 15 month change out, the
prior version would have based the
calculations on 750 meters in place the
entire year for Year 1, and all 1500 in
place the entire year for Year 2.
The upgraded software would assume 100 new
meters in place for the first month of
Year 1, 200 new meters in place the 2nd
month and so on. The expenditures
likewise would change to show 1200 meters
paid for in Year 1 and 300 in Year 2.
In
addition to this upgrade, the following
fixes were made to the software:
-
Added
an area on the Calculation Defaults
data entry screen to allow the user to
change the "Percentage Decrease
in Expenses for Automated
Billing".
-
Corrected
the print formatting for the Cover
Page that was causing it to split
vertically onto two pages.
-
Removed
Total Cumulative Net Cash Flow from
Finance Company Summary.
Note:
Previous
Fixes are included in this
patch. You may update to 6.2 from
any previous version of the FBA, Version
6.0 and up.
